You were hidden under your blankets with your pillow on your head trying to get rid of the loud noises that came from outside. A loud rumbling noise emitted from the outside along with a white flash that appeared in your room for a mere second before the place got dark again. You whimpered as another lightning struck louder. There was a thunder storm going on and you were scared out of your mind. Your boyfriend Nikolai was sound asleep next to you, not being disturbed by the claps of thunder. "How can he sleep in a thunder storm?" you thought thinking he was insane. You closed your eyes tightly trying to fall asleep, not knowing that Nikolai was wide awake and looking at you. His violet eyes staring at your form that was wrapped around in the covers. Another lightning struck and you jumped and began to cry slightly. "Go away. Go away," you whispered.

"_________," you heard Nikolai say. You froze.

"I-I'm sorry did I awake you?" you said trying to hide the fear in you voice and kept your back towards him. Nikolai stared at you a bit longer. He reaches out to you, placing an arm around your waist and then pulls you toward him. You turn around, facing him now.

"No I can't sleep with this noise," he finally responded and looked at you as though he was staring right through your soul. You loved Nikolai deeply but sometimes he would just creep you out considering that he wanted to marry his older sister Anya and the fact that back then when you two were in high school long before you two started dating, scary rumors about him went around of him being a murder or a masochist. But you didn't believe in any of them.

"Oh," you said quietly and buried your face into his chest as the thunder storm continued on.

"Don't worry _________ the thunder storm won't last long," he said wrapping his arms around you protectively. You whimpered quietly in response. A long moment of silence passed except from your small yelps. "Just ignore them," Nikolai said.

"I-I can't there to loud," you replied your eyes shut tightly.

"Just try," Nikolai said again.

"I can't!" you said and tears streamed down your face one by one. He wiped them away with his thumbs and brought you into a kiss. Your eyes snapped opened but close them back again melting into the kiss. The kiss was nice and sweet. It was always a quick kiss with him on the lips or on the cheek. So you savored this moment. When you two broke apart a small smile appeared on his face something you rarely saw.

"I won't let anything hurt you…..trust me," the blonde haired man says and kisses your forehead. You nod and bury your face into his chest again closing your eyes and listening to his slow heart beat. Nikolai rested his head on yours and closed his eyes.

"я цябе люблю…" he said in his language, thinking you were asleep. You smile in your sleep.

"I love you too Nikolai."
